Speech is communication through talking or a talk
given to an audience. We often see
people around us doing speech like president, principal, orator, and many
others. It is kind of our skills to face
people or audience. Let’s learn speech!
Is That
Important to learn English?
Assalamualaikum wr. wb.
The honorable ones the principle of
SMPIT AL-FAWWAZ, all teachers and administration staff of SMPIT AL-FAWWAZ and
all my friends from grade VII till IX.
Before I begin to give a speech, I
would like to invite you to thank to Allah the Almighty, Who has given us Mercy
and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing place. And also I don't
forget to deliver sholawat and salam to our prophet Muhammad SAW, Who has
brought us from the darkness to the brightness, so we are always in the right
way.
Of course there are varieties of
reasons and opinions will appears when we hear the question "Is that important
to learn English?" Of course there are some people said that learning
English is important with their variety of reasons and opinions and there are
some people said that learning English is less important even with their
variety of reasons and opinions. In your opinion, is important to learn
English?
On this opportunity, I would like to
deliver a speech about "Is That Important to Learn English?"
Ladies and Gentlemen
Begin with the question about "is
important to learn English?" How important do you think English to learn?
We all know that English is one of some international languages that widely
used in many countries except Arabic, Chinese, and French. English is a
language that comes from United Kingdom (UK) and then spread through
colonization until Americas which then English was used there. From UK and U.S.
who later became a great nation that had a strong influence in all fields,
English became the language that widely used today.
And those that make English important
as a language Are English is a language that has a special position in 75
countries and is used in more than 100 countries. English also is the
international language for business, sports, academics, science, technology,
advertising and diplomatic.
Shall we ask "Is that important
to learn English?"
Ladies and Gentlemen
There are still many people in this
country do not agree about the importance of learning English which is
accompanied by their variety of reasons and opinions. They argue:
Why do we have to learn English? If we
still have our own language, Indonesian, that is used as our national and
unifying language of our country.
Why do we have to learn English? If we
still thousand of traditional languages which we should preserve them
together.
However, we live in this world is not
free from the dependency of everything one country to others. From the
dependency, we certainly need a unifying language between different countries
with different languages. And English appears as that international language
that we know. So, English is a language that must be learned from elementary
school up to senior high school in order the students have an international
outlook which of course will determine the future of our beloved country,
Indonesia.
Shall we ask "Is that important
to learn English?"
Not much that I can say today, just a
few of words above that I can deliver to you at this moment, thanks a lot for
your attention and I also ask forgiveness for my mistakes, and the last I say:

Global
Warming
Assalamualaikum. Wr. Wb
Ladies & Gentleman, the first I’m grateful
because I am given chance by my English teacher and all of my friends to bring
this speech this morning about global warming.
Well, as we know that global
warming is such a disaster for our country and for our world that give a
serious problem for our next human generation.
Global Warming is
a reason why our world temperature is getting hot. Nowadays the temperature
take about more than 30 degrees Celsius, and with that number of temperature
the ice in South Pole and North Pole are getting melt, and in my opinion slow
but sure that the ice in South Pole, North Pole and Greenland will be vanish,
because of the ice melt processing, the sea level in our world getting higher,
and the area in the world that still under the sea level will be troubled for
flood. As a result, our world temperature is getting hot because of the use of
cars emission and industry pollution that waft about in our earth atmosphere
and make the ozone decreasing, so the sun light can break through the earth ozone
and trapped in earth atmosphere until the earth become more hot than usual.
There are a lot of bad impacts for our world if we don’t stop the process of
the global warming now. First, we will be lost much land and many areas in the
world that still under sea level will be troubled for flood. Many people will
lose their home because no one wants to live in a dangerous place. Second, the
environment will be shattered, weather and climate in each places will be
changed without permission. And the last is we will not breathe with a fresh
air again.
We should stop global warming as soon
as possible, how to do that by reduce the use of cars emission and should find
the new alternate energy that good for our environment.
Second, we should stop chop down the
trees with big quantity, because the trees can reduce the pollution by released
Carbon dioxide. Third, we should put the garbage in the right place, and do
replanting the trees, every each house in the world must put one tree standing
in their garden in case to reduce the pollution.
I’m at the end of my speech, I do
apologize if I said something wrong. So let’s keep our earth clean and safe! If
not us who else? If not right now there is no future because time is never
getting back. Thanks for your attention.
